A Little about My Moo and why I love that she goes to "school"

Maddi goes to "school" (aka Mother's Day Out)  Tuesdays and Thursdays from about 830am-430pm.   I thoroughly enjoy EVERY minute of it.... Let me just tell you a little about Maddi-Moo so you completely understand why i love this time so much.
Maddi is very sweet, loving, intelligent beyond her years. she's a cuddler, loves being loved on, has the prettiest smile I've ever seen (it seriously lights up a room) a Mommy's girl who slowly changing to Daddy's girl,  oh and she is also very-let me repeat that, VERY -clingy, stubborn, determined, sassy, loves saying "no" to anything we say - even if she a second later turns that "no" into a "yes", she pushes the limits on everything (literally everything). She loves, no she demands to be entertained every minute of the day. A lot of Maddi's friends who are just a few weeks older/younger than her, I think, do a much better job of entertaining themselves than Maddi. We currently have the girls sharing a room so that we can have one room as a playroom. It's full of the coolest toys .... But they aren't enough to entertain my Maddi-Moo. Someone has to be in there watching/playing with her. As Livvi has become more alert Maddi will now play in the playroom as long as Livvi is in there watching her. (Yes!! I knew I wanted our kids close in age for a reason!!)
Here's the only picture I have taken of our playroom. It's just one section of the room ... I need to hang a few things, after I do I will take more pictures of the playroom to put up. She's playing here with the Fisher price dollhouse.

Anyways .... Back to the point of this post... Since Maddi is such a high maintenance little girl
it makes it next to impossible to get any of my deep cleaning, organizing, decorating, crafts done. Pretty much anything that takes more than an hour to do is always put on the back burner, indefinitely. This is why I treasure my time when My Moo is at school.
A full 8 hours to run errands with only one baby (oh my goodness it's so easy), go grocery shopping, deep clean my fridge, organize my linen closet AND my craft closet-in the same day, dust the ceiling fans, all my chores, and most importantly I get to spend some one on one time with my beautiful little Peanut. I'm not sure who enjoys it more, me or Peanut. Now Livvi is all smiles all the time but I get extra big ones on days when it's just me and her.
Peanut has a smile like her Big Sissy. That ear to ear, make your heart melt smile.
After running our errands, doing laundry, running, and cooking "sketty" for dinner we went and picked up My Moo. "Sketty" (aka spaghetti) is Maddi's favorite meal and she requests it every week.
She was obviously enjoying this meal. Don't let the sweet smile fool you. She is only smiling because I'm saying, "don't smile Maddi. Maddi, quit smiling. Maddi. Stop. Smiling.". Yes, she's THAT stubborn. A little me. Attitude and all.
These girls. I'm so blessed that they are mine, that He (our wonderful Lord) chose me to be their mom.

Memorial Day Weekend

Ok, so here I go with this whole blogging thing. I've recently started following a few blogs and I must admit it, it's pretty addicting. I figured this would also be an easy and fun way to keep up with how fast my sweet girls (Maddi - 2yrs 5months and Livvi-5months) are growing. So here we go ....

Memorial Weekend:
This past weekend was Memorial Day Weekend and we were all so excited because we got a full two days off with Josh! He normally works 6 (long) days a week so we dream of those times he gets TWO days off in a row! We started our weekend off with a little puddle jumping, some "wooooo" as Maddi calls it (woo=throwing her in the air and yelling "woooo"), and some sister cuddles.
Sunday we went to Momo and Papa (my mom and dads) house for some of Papa's delicious burgers and cousin Hayden and Maddi went swimming in the cold pool! It was still too cold for Josh and me. (Thank goodness for Hayden who is always ready to go in the pool and help Maddi out.)
     Here's  Maddi testing the water.
Oh and I got the camera I have been drooling over for MONTHS. Thank you sweetie!!! Wahoo!! I still can't believe I finally own it!!!!!! I'm in camera heaven!!!!

My sweet little Peanut. Oh how I love that smile and that hint of red hair.

and the sassiest, sweetest 2 year old. My sweet little Maddi-Moo. My munchkin.

Monday, Memorial Day, we celebrated right with matching patriotic outfits (of course!) fried chicken and the best homemade ice cream for lunch with Josh's side of the family.

Livvi's first Memorial Day
Those smiles. I melt.

Helping Grandpa and Gramee (great grandma)
Impossible to get a picture of them both smiling
My favorite pictures of the day: the girls with their great grandparents

After lunch we napped the girls (josh napped too, like always) then headed to Momo and Papas for some delicious ribs, coleslaw, twice baked potatoes, grilled onions, and so much more. Next time I will take a picture of the food. It's literally the best food you can have. Ok, ok I may be just a little biased ... But my Dad is the best cook!!!! After dinner we did attempts one and two, trying to get a cute picture of both girls smiling (I was once again unsuccessful as you will see). Maddi, Hayden and even Josh went swimming.
Their faces in this picture sums up how all the pictures went. Typical.
Love this of Maddi-Moo

Maddi and Daddy getting ready to jump in! We were all screaming "jump, jump, jump" since Josh was afraid of how old the water would be!
Maddi asked to go skinny-dipping, we obliged.

What a fun weekend we had! Of course it was over way too fast. Every night we ask Maddi, "what was your favorite part of the day". she said her favorite part of the day was, "swimming with My Daddy and My Daddy's favorite part was swimming with me." I love that she is becoming the biggest Daddy's girl (she used to be only about Mommy .... I'm being slowly replaced, but I don't mind at all) and I love that she calls him "My Daddy" as if she's afraid I won't know what Daddy she is talking about.

Remembering the reason we are able to take this day off and spend it with the ones we love. Thank you to all the men and women serving our country.

Happy Memorial Day!
