Happy Half Birthday Peanut!!

Today my sweet little baby is 6 months old. I can't believe it's already been 6 months. I still think of her as a little 3 month old... But that's probably because she is about the size of  the average 3 month old. She is tiny, my little Peanut. We don't go to the Dr until later this month so I don't know her official stats.
We got Livvi's 6 month pictures today by my favorite photographer KT Photography. She has been taking Maddi's pictures for 2 years and is absolutely amazing ... but today Liv refused (THE WHOLE TIME REFUSED) to smile. The set up was adorable but my stubborn little girl just wasn't having it. Can't wait to get her pictures back but I am pretty bummed there were no smiles. ((this is the 2nd time Livvi has done this for her professional pictures))

You, Livvi, are my little observer. You are happy sitting, laying, playing anywhere as long as Maddi, Daddy or I are in eye sight.   You are the biggest Mommy's girl. You turn, stretch, wiggle out of anyone's arms trying to get to me. You've recently developed stranger danger (which is unusual for a 6 month old but I assume its because you and I are together literally 24/7). You cry when anyone holds you for too long or if I leave. You are happiest being left with Daddy but still only last about 45 minutes before just loosing it and crying till your in my arms again. You can sit up unsupported but only if your really concentrated and if your in the mood. You can do a forward army crawl if you see a toy (or even better a cell phone) that you want.
Sleep schedule: You wake up every morning at 7am ON THE DOT. You used to be my little "dead-head", sleeping till 9am. We moved your bedtime from 8pm to 7pm which probably made your morning wake up time so early. Oh how you've changed. You nap about 3.5 hours a day. Naps varying from 30 minutes to 2.5 hrs. Last nap starts between 1 and 2 and usually last 2 hours, then you are down for the night around 715pm.
Feeding schedule: pretty much the same as last month except you now eat rice cereal in the morning and at night (breakfast/dinner).  You tried plain carrots (smashed, of course) and really enjoyed them. Tonight you tried avocados for the first time and ate a quarter of one. A good eater already!!  This month I will really start introducing you to fruits and veggies. I am also hopeing that with the introduction of foods you will stretch your milk time from every 3 hours to every 4. You are still doing great with breastfeeding so we will continue doing it as long as you want!
Favorite Games and Toys:  Peek a boo is still your favorite game, you love your jump a roo, any musical toy that lights up, being in the bath or pool, and being tickled.

Happy 5 Months Peanut

Our sweet little Peanut turned 5 months old last Friday. Wow 5 months old already?? Where did the time go?
Livvi has changed so much in just a month. She rolls continuously and its hard to keep her on a blanket or playmat. She sits unassisted for a few minutes as long as there is a sturdy toy in front of her she can grab on to if she looses her balance. ((see picture below)) Her absolute favorite time is whenever her big "Sissy" is interacting with her. Maddi just has to walk near Peanut for her to light up. Livvi is literally entertained for an hour (thats a long time for a 5m old) in the playroom just watching Maddi play-and eating her toys, of course. She has the most relaxed little personality. She's all smiles and just goes with the flow. I am blessed with what has to be the easiest, sweetest little baby. She just last week really found her voice and now is constantly making the cutest "eeeeeeeeeeee" and "nana" <----- hey, that's a LOT like MaMa!!!! i absolutely am in love with that little voice, i would listen to her "eeeeeeee" all day.
Livvi experienced her first sickness this month. Pink eye (that she got from her sister) and a double ear infection (caused by the drainage from pink eye). Poor little baby had a fever of 101.3 for 3 days on and off. It was so heartbreaking seeing our tiny baby so miserable. Thankfully I got her to the Dr within 12 hours her getting  a fever and by the end of the 3rd day the antibiotics were finally working and we got our happy little Peanut back.
Friday we went to Livvi's "4 month" Dr appointment for the dreaded shots and a check-up. Our little Peanut is still just a tiny thing (she weighed 6lbs 2oz when she was born and 5lb 12oz when she came  home-which is how she got her nickname, Peanut). She is in 6m clothing (but she still fits in her 3 month clothes as long as they are footless) and size 2 diapers with tons of room to grow!

STATS:
weight: 12lbs 14oz (10th percentile)
height:  24.5" (25th percentile)
head:  16" (25th percentile)

Here's the happy girl at her Dr appt, check out that little red mohawk growing. OH SO CUTE.

FAVORITE TOYS AND GAMES:
Peek-a-Boo, you love being tickled EVERYWHERE, being tossed in the air, tummy time and sitting up and playing are still 2 of your favorite.come things to do, any toy you can sit up and hold on to, and you love all books

Big girl sitting up and playing. So BIG!
